Day Two: Preparation and Exploration

Day two in town, and I'm still here getting ready for what's ahead. Spent the morning at the grocery store loading up on bananas, gels, and protein bars—the usual suspects for tomorrow's trek.

Met another new friend, Bill from England, and we spent most of the morning walking around together. We checked out the start of the Camino proper and figured out what the signposts look like. Good to know what to watch for once we're actually on the trail.

I also made it up to the castle on the hill overlooking town. Built in the 1200s, it was where the town went for protection back then. Not a bad spot to get your bearings and see what lies ahead.
